The action of the grinder enables to upgrade raw materials separating their components. It means that it increases the proportion of the noble components of the extract thus increasing its surface area and consequently its reactivity.

Grinding can also be carried out by wet process (10 up to 40% of water) according to upstream and downstream processes of material treatment.
